Pacific Beach/Ocean Shores

We decided to take a short trip to Pacific Beach this Friday and Saturday. We stayed at the navy hotel which was NOT fancy, but fine for a night. We played on the beach, went bowling, ate out, played in the hot tub (except me I just put my feet in) and Dave barely beat me at a game of air hockey.
Friday it was a little windy, but not too bad and the day was pretty warm. Abigail and Daddy had a fun time running away from the waves. Cody was afraid of stepping on jelly fish so he wouldn't go in the water until he had his boots on. Even then he stayed far away from the actual waves. Daddy buried the kids legs in the sand which they thought was very fun (and felt good since the sand was warm)!
Saturday we still had sunny skies, but it was very windy and the sand was blowing everywhere! We drove out onto the beach and Dave flew a kite for a while. Abigail tried holding it briefly, but Cody was convinced it would blow away if he held it, so he didn't want to. We stayed for an hour or so and then headed to Ocean Shores. Daddy took each of the kids on a go-cart ride which they both LOVED! Cody thought he was actually driving (even though Dave was the only one steering) so he wanted to go again. He had to be satisfied with one ride this time though.
We ate lunch at the Ocean ???? State Park and then walked down to the beach there. Again it was very windy and the kids were getting sand in their eyes. Abigail didn't seem to mind so much, but it was really bothering Cody. He did manage to get in some fun moments anyway. When everyone was done at the beach we drove the three hours home. It was fun and we are thinking maybe we will rent a cottage for a few days and go with another family next time.
