Anna's visit (part 2)

 Next on our agenda was a camping trip at Green Point with my parents, my brother and his family, Nathaniel and his family and Anna and her kids.  However, Laurie Beth ended up having surgery on Friday so there weren't as many people there as we had planned on.  Nathaniel came out for the afternoon with most of his boys.  Anna came with her kids, but only Hayden stayed over night.  My brother and his family didn't come until Saturday.  We had fun with all who came!  Green Point is privately owned by the company Scott works for so we had the place to ourselves.  The kids played in the sand and water, fished (no one caught anything though), played in the driftwood fort, played croquet, at lots of food and had a great time!

The only unpleasant part to the camp out was Kaitlyn throwing up in the middle of the night.  All over her sleeping bag and the tent floor.  The clean up process woke up Ellie so I was up for a while after that, but all in all everyone slept pretty well.  Hayden and Cody slept in a different tent and so missed out on all that excitement.  Since she wasn't acting sick the night before or the next morning, we are pretty sure that her tummy was just upset by the hot dog, hamburger, and crab meat she ate for dinner.


 Saturday morning was foggy and cool.  The water was perfectly calm and we got to see seals, eagles, dolphins, sea stars and lots of crabs.  It was low tide and there were some pretty big tide pools with BIG crabs in them.  The fog and clouds burned off by about 1:00 or so and then we had another beautiful warm afternoon.  Gary and his family came about the time the sun came out and Anna and most of her kids came back to play some more.

 Ellie woke up at 6am so she was tired and slept in my arms for a couple of hours.

We make paper bag kites at scouts this week so Cody brought his to test out.

It wasn't really windy enough to get it up in the air.

We left about 4:30 in the afternoon and then had a surprise birthday party for Mason who will turn 6 on Tuesday.  It was a very full and fun week!
