Cody turns 7!

Cody chose to have a family birthday party only this year. We had G. & G. Burt and G. Heather and G. Scott come for dinner, birthday cake and presents. Cody requested chili dogs for dinner. He also wanted a chocolate cake with strawberry frosting and real strawberries on top. I wasn't sure how it would turn out with store-bought strawberry icing and real strawberries, but it turned out to be pretty good. Cody was so excited about eating his cake that he actually chose to do that before opening his presents! He ended up with a pirate ship and pirates, compound (kid) bow and nurf arrows, a play tent with attached tube to crawl through, an atlas of the world and a few other odds and ends. He is pretty excited to have new things to play with and to have only one more year to go before he can get baptized.
