Vacation part 3

We went to Bridal Veil Falls one afternoon and let the kids play in the water. The water was really cold, but it was sunny and hot out so it felt really good! Shortly after arriving we noticed smoke and behind us right by the highway was a wild fire. It looked like it may have started from a burning cigaret or something like that. When we called 911 they already knew about it and a few minutes later the fire trucks came. We watched as they put out the fire. It was actually a good reminder to me that we can always have the Holy Ghost with us. When some people saw the fire they immediately ran away with their children in terror. As I thought about the amount of smoke, wind etc. I just felt calm and knew we would not be in any danger. We didn't need to scare our children or make pregnant Allie run back down the trail to the cars, we would be just fine. And we were. I love that peaceful feeling the Holy Ghost can bring to us if we take the time to listen!

After we left the Falls we drove to Pleasant Grove to a big wooden playground. The kids had a blast playing there. We ended up picking up pizzas and eating them at the park so the kids could play longer. It was a full day of fun and we were all good and tired by the time we got home. (In fact once we got most of the kids in bed all the adults just sat around watching the movie we had put on for the kids)!

I'm very glad no one made me run back down the trail! That would have been akward!

Abi's expression is so cute when she is wading in the water! Thank you for sharing your testimony about the Holy Ghost. Beautiful.
