It has been a great Christmas this year! It had a lot of firsts for us. With Dave's parents serving as missionaries in Italy this year we have had to change our traditions a little bit. This is our first time with none of Dave's family around visiting. So, I made Christmas dinner for just our little family for the first time ever. This is the first time we have stayed at our own house all of Christmas day. Also, Grandma Heather decided to have my side of the family over on Christmas Eve to open presents and feast together. A lot of firsts, but a good time for everyone. Cody's only dissapointment (which I do not share) is that it didn't snow this year. We got enough snow last year to last me two or three winters, but hopefully Cody will get to play in the snow at least once this winter so he can feel better about no snow for Christmas.
We are so thankful for the birth and life of our Savior, Jesus Christ. What a wonderful blessing it is to know that we are sealed together as a family and that even death will not break those bonds because of the things Jesus did.
We hope everyone else had a wonderful Christmas too!
