We returned yesterday from camping at the ocean with Anna & Gabe and their kids, as well as Grandma and Grandpa Burt and Jonas. We went to Beach 2, Rialto Beach and Ruby Beach. The kids had lots of fun together. Eleanor rolled around in the sand enough that it got EVERYWHERE! With the exception of their coughing fits, everyone actually slept pretty well too! Maybe next year we can get more of the family together for our ocean camping trip.

I got a kick out of watching Eleanor climbing on logs and balancing. She would smile so big and sometimes do kind of a loud laughing hahaha only she was talking it instead of really laughing (I hope that makes sense, but if not, just know that it was super cute)!
Grandma Burt got really brave and went into the COLD ocean. Jonas joined her for a bit.

We spent Friday at Ruby Beach. The "lake" part was smaller this year, but it left behind a nice sandy area next to it. The kids played on log rafts, jumped in the ocean waves and made creations in the sand.

Looks like too much fun! Derrick would not be joining his cousin in the rolling around in the sand part. He likes the beach as long as he can wear water shoes and not get his hands dirty....
