Dave took a couple of days off work this week so we could have some family time.  Yesterday we drove up to Hurricane Ridge to have lunch and go on a short hike.  It was beautiful and sunny!!!!!!!!!  Up at the lodge there were deer all over the place and they weren't really very afraid of people.  A couple of times we got to within a foot or so of them without them running away.  We ate lunch then did the short hike to the top of the ridge.  Good thing it was a short hike for mamma's sake 'cause I was having a hard time going up the hill in this pregnant body!

Our only mishap was Kaitlyn trying to go too fast down the hill and doing a face plant in the dirt.  She ended up with matching band aids on her knees, scraped hands and a bloody/fat lip.  We cleaned her up with baby wipes and kisses and she only took a few minutes to recover.

The kids were excited to see a little snow up at the top of the ridge and kept looking for more the whole time we were up there.  Kaitlyn was most fascinated by the deer.  As we drove back down the mountain she kept talking about the deer and saying bye bye to them.  We even got to see a mamma and her fawn as we drove down!

Kaitlyn smiling for once in a picture!

We told the kids to smile and Kaitlyn just opened her mouth.

This deer found something yummy to lick off the pavement.  Kaitlyn kept startling it by trying to get closer, but it kept coming back.  I guess it really liked whatever was spilled there!

Next we drove to the Olympic Game Farm and saw all the animals there.  At the very start there is a place where you can get out of your car so the kids were feeding the deer and lamas bread through the fence.

At first Kaitlyn loved feeding the animals through the car window as we drove by, but then we reached the more aggressive animals that stuck their heads in the window to get more bread and she did NOT like that!  The bison and elk were a little too enthusiastic for her so we rolled the windows up for those ones and just fed the smaller animals that weren't so scary for her.  Cody and Abi were less afraid, but still didn't like those big creatures as much as the little ones.

After the Game Farm, we drove to Fat Smitties and got HUGE hamburgers for dinner.  They were so big I couldn't even open my mouth wide enough to eat them.  I ended up taking the top half off and eating it, then boxing up the rest for later.  Dave managed to eat all of his though.  Abi only wanted the strawberry milk shake Dave shared with her (and a few french fries of course).  Cody is becoming a bottomless pit and kept eating everyone else's food after his was gone.  All the kids were fascinated by the dollar bills people have pinned to the walls and ceiling.  The place is COVERED in them!  It was a fun day spent with the best people in the world!

Looks like so much fun! I think Abi's eating habits sound like Logan, and Cody's definately sounds like the rest of my boys! I can't feed them enough!
