Happy Birthday Kaitlyn!

My baby is two today! Hard to believe, but it is true. She is getting so independant lately (saying new words, climbing out of her crib, wanting to walk instead of being held, just to name a few). Abigial has been counting down the days until Kaitlyn's birthday for her. It has been so cute watching her tell Kaitlyn, "In ___ days it is your birthday!"

Grandma Heather and Grandpa Scott came to help celebrate. Kaitlyn was a little tired and cranky at first because I had had a really hard time getting her to take a nap and she went down later than usual. Then I had to wake her up right before dinner so she wouldn't miss her party! She was VERY asleep so she wasn't too thrilled about waking up. She got over it about the time she got to start opening presents though. :)

She loves all her new toys and had a great time playing. So much fun that she only took a couple bites of frosting from her cake before she was off to play some more!

She has this sense for when to turn her head away or look down just as the camera takes the picture. So I only managed to get a couple where you can see her face....

I can't wait to see all the changes the next year brings my sweet Kaitlyn. Hopefully by then she will have stopped grunting and pointing at everything instead of saying the words. However she grows, we are so glad Heavenly Father sent her to us!
