Dave's newest project is to extend the brick wall we have along part of our bank next to the house. This winter we had a couple of weeks of VERY cold weather and then it warmed up again and the rain started. The combination of the two things has made the bank erode a lot. It is dangerous up at the top of the hill as the dirt has eroded all the way up to some of the fence posts. So, out come the stairs in the middle of the bank and up goes a wall to keep the dirt in. Then we will angle the top of the bank a bit and plant some kind of fast-growing ground cover to stabilize things.
The bricks were delivered this morning so Dave got right to work...
