New Years Resolutions

Dave and I have each made a couple of new years resolutions this year.  Dave's involves less candy and mine involves being more active and doing more family hikes.  Today we took the kids on a short trail by the Point No Point lighthouse.  We started at the lighthouse and hiked up the hill into the woods then came back again.  Everyone did well until the end when we got back to the windy cold beach.  Eleanor was tired (no nap this afternoon) and cold so she didn't enjoy the last ten minutes of our trek back to the suburban, but she did pretty well.  The other kids wanted to play on the beach instead of just walking back and going home.  Next time we will have to go on a Saturday when we have a bit more time.

Abi (making a mad face to be silly) and Kaitlyn and Cody.

At the end of the trail was a field with a couple horses the kids wanted to pet.

If only Abi would try to look like she is enjoying herself in the pictures...

Our kids really want us to take them on a winter camp out soon.  We'll keep you posted if that happens....

So fun! My boys would love to go out more and especially to the beach, but I am not quite up to taking all six by myself yet.
