Pine Wood Derby 2014

 This year Kingston combined with the two Poulsbo wards so we could all use the fancy track that keeps track of how fast the cars go and who won within a tenth of a second.  All the boys raced on all four tracks twice so they were able to race against most of the other boys as well.  The computer then kept track of how fast the cars went and determined the winners accordingly.  Cody won every single heat he raced!  So, for the Bears division he came in first place!  Overall he came in second place for the fastest time, but they don't actually count that because the boys really race only in their own division (and it was a Webelows that beat him).  The boys had fun and now Cody gets to go to the district races on April 12th.

On the way home Abi said she wants to win a trophy too.  So, we talked about different ways she could do that.  She said she doesn't want to play sports, but maybe she will try entering something in the county fair.
